You also need ways to construct extended integral signs and large sigmas, etc. I sometimes wish I didn't have to type $Sigma$, etc, but this is made up by the excellent (no, make that fantastic) job TeX does on chracter placement without manual intervention. In any case, the time required to type this stuff in is but a fraction of the time required to come up with something worth publishing. Ken
