Guys, I should have pointed out there is an official way to poke the
net gods. Posting yea and nay votes on this newsgroup doesn't count.
What needs to be done is for somebody to offer to take a vote on
creating a new group and forward the result to the net gods. In this
case you also have to persuade a gateway to forward the postings
bidirectionally and to persuade Malcolm Brown (the moderator) to accept
postings from Usenet. I assume it will be a moderated group.  The
protocol is explained in news.announce.newusers or something like
that.
