Question regarding the 'refer' bibliographic system:

Am I correct in supposing that is there no provision for removal of
duplicates from bibliographic databases (e.g., such as may occur if the
output from two similar 'lookbib' queries is combined)?

I ask because I just wrote a 'uniqbib' program, then thought to myself
that I'd just reinvented a wheel that perhaps I don't know about.  If the
answer to the above is 'yes', should I post this thing?
