There is a plug-in card with an 8MHz 8086 such that you can run MS-DOS in a UNIX window (much like the BridgeCard of the Commodore Amiga A2000); a colleague at work has the "DOS-73" card in his home 3B1 and is very happy with it; I don't have that card in any of my 3B1s so cannot comment from firsthand experience. The 3B1 was manufactured by Convergent for AT&T.
