I had a very irate user today who wanted to know why the system blew them off when they had left their terminal while typing in a long mail message. This seems to happen with either the 1.2 or 2.2 new/csh execuatbles, so it's a bit of a mystery. The solution is to have all new/csh users edit their .login files to add "unset autologout". 2) I missed the /usr/lib/Mail.rc file when I was bringing over the key files from 1.2. I'm not going to reload the 1.2 distribution to verify this, but I think the 2.2 version has a bunch of non-default options specified that differ from the 1.2 file. This changes the default behaviour of mail enough to cause user distress...
