Lines: 20 We have been routinely running a realtime acq with about a dozen active serial lines comming from all kinds of odd ball devices (most of which we have no controll over data formats) into a Masscomp 5400 with no complaints. Masscomp's RTU allows more control over real time processes than most other variants of unix while at the same time preserveing a reasonable approximation to BSD and SYSV unicies.
