Our Situation: Currently running the News on a Vax 1170 with Unix The higher up's have decided to get a VMS machine. My mission, move the news to the VMS? or go to the Micro-vax??? I need to know the following: 1) What the effects would be of receiving news via nntp? 2) What the effects would be of receiving and feeding news to other Unix machines? 3) Which is going to give the best sysadmin control? 4) Remote execution of rm from other Unix machines if the news was on the vax. 5) If we use the Micro-vax for the news, can rn be used from the VMS machine? Any and all information on this subject would be greatly appreciated. I have a limited amount of time to have this completed. Thanks, -- Robert M.
