I believe expire may have a problem with archiving news.  I was wanting to 
archive all the 1987 messages of two of our local newsgroups but not touch
anything else.  What I used was:

	expire -a stp.general,stp.mail -I -e 24

What happened was that stp.general and stp.mail were archive but the rest
of stp.all that was older than Jan 1 was expired.  Shouldn't the above
work for archiving specific newsgroups?  By the way, we're running
News 2.11 patch 14.
