Most expensive? Message-ID: <4367@ihlpf.ATT.COM> Date: 11 Apr 88 14:40:01 GMT Distribution: unix-pc Organization: AT&T Bell Laboratories - Naperville, Illinois Lines: 19 I'm interested in as many opinions as possible regarding whether purchasing a service agreement from AT&T for my 67+2meg 3B1 is a Good Investment. E-mail is fine -- phone or paper, too. I'm also, of course, interested in the costs of high-probability repairs. What's a real biggie that I the kids shouldn't try at home? I can think of several, but I'm interested in how often they might really be necessary, as opposed to something a technician would do for expediency that I wouldn't do, to save $$. It seems that a lot of discussion in this newsgroup has been related to fan & disk failures, etc., with a few references to how expensive the policy is. I'm interested in MANY opinions and experiences regarding the WORTH and SERVICE RESPONSIVENESS/QUALITY for an in-home machine that runs continuously (or should I start shutting it off? -- shutdown NECESSARY for the 67meg...?). ALL responses will be greatly appreciated! G. Mark (over-protective) Stewart ATT-BTL Naperville, ix1g266 (312)979-0914, ixlpq!gms
