Thanks to all the kind folks who replied.  I got many
helpful answers, but the most complete set, for both
standard-issue uucp and HDB came from ... Telebit!  Now
why didn't I think of asking them in the first place?!

If anybody else is looking for the info, I'd be happy
to forward the mail I received, or just ask the folks
at Telebit yourself.

Now if only they would hurry up and ship the thing!
