I have discovered that running (spell-buffer) on a buffer of TeX or LaTeX input produces ... amusing ... results. This appears to be caused by the use of deroff(1) by spell(1); deroff doesn't understand TeX and misinterprets many TeX commands that have troff commands as initial substrings. Does anyone have a fix for this behavior? Since I do not normally read this list, reply directly. Fun facts: GNU-EMACS 18.44 (upgrade to latest planned RSN) on a network of SUNs mostly at 3.4.
