Preferably using the fortran OPEN statement. I want to output 4010 graphics to a separate window, but I don't know how to open the X window or how to find out the name of the virtual terminal. I am currently trying to run a large general purpose analysis and display package written for VMS Fortran. It seems to run fine using VAX Fortran under Ultrix. Please Email replies as I don't get to usenet very often. If I get helpful replies I'll post them back to the comp.lang.fortran. Thanks in advance. bloom@eniac.seas.upenn.edu
