Message-ID: <4980@ecsvax.UUCP> Date: 25 Apr 88 18:30:11 GMT Organization: UNC Educational Computing Service Lines: 18 Keywords: VMS V5.0 Upgrades Problems Comments Are there any VMS V5.0 (beta) sites out there who would care to comment on the ease or difficulty in accomplishing such an upgrade? System manager perspective? User perspective? Performance numbers (io/cpu/memory usage, etc)? Is the change from VMS 4.X to V5.0 going to be as traumatic as the change from 3.X to 4.0 was? Will DEC be offerring (sp?) V5 upgrade seminars, and if so, will it be worth it for experienced system managers to attend? Yes, I know that V5 is not out in general release yet (at least not to my knowledge). I'd just like to be well-prepared when upgrade time rolls around. Thanx in advance for any pertinent information which can be provided. -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tom Morris BITNET: TOM@UNCSPHVX UNC School of Public Health UUCP : ...!mcnc!ecsvax!tpmsph -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
