Point of information: HP has two different, largely compatible OSs called HP-UX. The numbering for the 800 series (SPECTRUM RISC architecture) is up to 1.2 with 2.0 promised RSN. The numbering for 200/300/500 series (MC680X0 architecture) is up to 6.0 My numbers are based on the latest versions I have in hand. BTW, is there a comp.os.hpux/INFO-HPUX mailing list? +======== David Linn ===================================================+ |INET: drl@vuse.vanderbilt.edu [129.59.100.1] | |UUCP: ...!uunet!vuse!drl CSNET: drl@vanderbilt.csnet | |AT&T: (615)322-7924 BITNET: linndr@vuengvax | |USPS: P.O.
