	I don't CD or anything, just:

	rez run dme (etc....)

	without any path specs.  That's all you need to do.  This 
effectively rez's any executable ending in that filename c:dme, df0:c/dme,
ram:dme, etc... it doesn't matter where the actual executable resides.
