Message-ID: <522@lamont.Columbia.edu> Date: 25 Apr 88 16:56:19 GMT Organization: Lamont-Doherty Geological Observatory N.Y. Lines: 22 Keywords: C Ltd, tape backup, Teac, First Class, Peripherals I have a C Ltd hard disk and SCSI controller, and I've gotten very frustrated backing it up to floppies. CLtd [(316) 267-3807] is selling a 60 Meg tape backup unit that uses a Teac tape mechanism, and one price I was quoted was $1,150 !! A company called First Class Peripherals [(800) 982-3232] also sells a tape unit which looks like it uses the Teac mechanism ("The Sider T6", 60 Meg, SCSI) for $800 but they don't support the Amiga. Teac does sell a 60 Meg tape unit with SCSI interface, but only to distributors and OEMs. However, the CLtd-Teac driver software is up on their bulletin board (316) 267-1222, free for the asking! Does this give anyone else some ideas? -- Phone: (914) 359-2900 x340 Post: Lamont-Doherty Geological Observatory / Palisades, NY 10964 USENET: {ihnp4, decvax, seismo} philabs!lamont!adam ARPA: lamont!adam@columbia.edu
