I am thinking of writing a BBS program for the Amiga. I intend to use AmigaBASIC (or some other BASIC) to prototype my BBS. What I need to know is how exactly one goes about polling the various status pins on the serial port. (i.e. carrier detect, ring detect, etc.) What do I need to do in BASIC? Also what is the exact procedure for auto-baud setting? I've seen the technique used but never quite knew how it was done. Sorry if these questions seem basic and simple, but BBS programming is new to me, programming in general is not. Thanks in advance. Please E-Mail all responses. Let's keep the newsgroup clean! ;^) +----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | James Colyer | #define LIFE (?) | AMIGA! //// | Running his 1 Meg Amiga | |---------------------------------| //// | 1000 from a Lobby (!) | | Net: backstro@silver.bacs. | //// |---------------------------| | indiana.edu | //// | "There is no dark side on | | USSnail: 4755 N.
