Try: ihnp4!psuvax1!WPI.BITNET!MPENDER (for Mike Pender) in general, UUCP to bitnet: ihnp4!psuvax1!node.BITNET!name Also, unlike UUCP, bitnet use UPPER CASE addresses. Most (but not all) of the gateways will correct the case, and sometimes mailers will send back 'Host Unknown' if they get a lowercase bitnet node (I think most nodes can deal with mixed case names, but I'm not sure about that). Other gates from UUCP (alternates to psuvax1 above): mcvax (Netherlands), ucbvax, husc6 (STRANGE things seem indemic to Harvard's gateway for some reason - maybe it's the beans :-), others (I don't remember them all). --------------------- Disclaimer: The "look and feel" of this message is exclusively MINE!
