Comp.sys.apple is distributed on arpa/mil (Department of Defense -- not nice people to have annoyed with you) and bitnet (colleges, universities, and other not for profit research organizations). The network management has been tolerant, even understanding about folks learning the rules, and I doubt there's much concern about the occasional private individual selling off bits and pieces of old equipment a la garage sale, but they'll draw the line at outright merchandising, and the newsgroup could disappear. It also isn't legal for most of us to even reply by email to your offer (I gather many if not most USENET sites are not thus restricted; if commercialism persists in the newsgroups though, what would happen is USENET would be cut off from the rest of us). --------------------- Disclaimer: The "look and feel" of this message is exclusively MINE!
