Illegal-Object: Bad Keywords value found by ZMailer on jarvis.csri.toronto.edu: promised(?illegal word in phrase?) . ; Message-ID: <8804191556.AA15232@explorer.dgp.toronto.edu> Keywords: Yet another machine promised. Organization: University of Toronto, CSRI Date: Tue, 19 Apr 88 09:56:03 EDT In the Budapest trade show Atari did not reveal the long awaited Atari TT. They were not able to show the machine because of export restrictions placed on them by the US govt. The machine was held in the development stage because of an undisclosed disagreement with Motorola. This disagreement allows Atari to trade unused 68000 chips for the new 88000 RISC chip. The TT-88 features full compatibility with all existing ST software. A game playing version which features 2600 compatibility will be available for the Christmas season. A standard feature of this system is a light pistol. (Users of 2600 systems will not have to purchase a new pistol since full compatibility is assured. :-). Research Digital and Atari are rumoured to be implementing a version of Helios which ensures full compatibility with the yet to be decommited ABAQ machine (and not inconsequentially, AmigaDOS). o o | \___/
