Especially given the condescending tone of the article, ie " if you don't understand" if they dont understand they probably won't be of much help will they? if this seems like a little thing tough...... a piece of software rarely runs on a machine it runs on a machine/operating system pair. that is why you see references to VAX/VMS or VAX/SYSV or VAX/BSD. btw there is no such single entity as THE VAX either .
