I haven't seen such a beast that will run "in the background" specifically for the Rainbow. I'll check around. However, two other possibilities come to mind: first, use TODO V2.7C by Dick Danek (of Digital Equip- ment Corp.). TODO is a first-rate, priority-based time management system (with calendar functions and such built in). Secondly, use the public domain ALARM.EXE (Alarm Daemon V3.4 by Brent A. Cheikes) which was written for the IBM PC but works just fine on the Rainbow. When it goes off, it beeps and places "Alarm!" on the screen. I suppose it could be patched. If anyone wants these utilities, please e-mail or post a message.
