DON'T LET THIS MACHINE DIE! > Ok, off the soapbox for awhile... > From the start: 1. Do you, guys, use your Rainbow as a node in the net or only as a terminal linked to a stronger one? Are usenet links possible by a regular 100a and, if so, what is the use of Fido? 2. Is "freeware" or "Shareware" available thru usenet ? a) The software itself b) The list of available programs 3. Is there any other Rainbow free software accessible thru this network? Namely, C compiler Emacs (Gosling or Gnu) ? I only succeeded in getting a 64K version of multiplan on CPM; does it exist a larger free version of any screen calculator ? If anything please give VERY simple example of way to access. I don't understand sentences like "Uucoded archives are accessible on anonymous logging to uucp.net.somewhere" Thanks in advance for any help.
