A couple of comments about getting your Mac/XL to run Mac+
software:  First, it still has the 64K roms so new system
features are not available.  Second, the 400K floopy
can be a problem.

But there is a solution,  Sun Remarketing which took over Mac/XL
aka Lisa support from Apple now has an 800K replacement floppy,
HFS support and soon Mac+ rom support (via MacWorks+).

They are reasonably priced, they have Apple's blessing, and they
deliver products quickly.  Their orderline is (800)821-3221
and customer support is (801)752-7631.  I am using all of the
above except for MacWorks+ and I am very happy with it.
