I read somewhere that there's a new feature in Finder 6.0 / System 4.2 which allows one to obsolete the "Desktop" file. I have a 100mb hard disk, and when I open up a folder with tons of stuff in it, everything is *REAL* slow, same thing happens when I copy a file to my hard disk. I understand that there is either a feature or someone put together an INIT that hooks into finder to make it use a new method of storing the desktop which (a) is very fast (b) does not use the Desktop file anymore Anyone have any pointers as to where/how I can get it? Please resond by mail, I will summarize for the net. Paul -- Paul S.
