Message-ID: <67@qucis.UUCP> Date: 20 Apr 88 02:41:48 GMT Article-I.D.: qucis.67 Posted: Tue Apr 19 22:41:48 1988 Organization: Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada Lines: 18 Keywords: MacinTalk Some months ago I received a stack called 'Spelling' which implements a simple spelling quiz for kids. I've now used it for a while with my 3 year old, and the only problem with it is that it is buggy as the devil and I'd like to fix it. (However, it's password protected, so that I can't fix it). (By the way, if anyone can tell me how to get around the password, or if the author would give it to me, I'd like that, but that's another story). The problem I am intriuged with at the moment is that the Spelling stack uses MacinTalk to have the stack actually "say" the words. For kids, this is ideal, and I'd like MY educational stacks to speak also. But of course, I can't find out how it does that, since the stack is password protected. SO -- I'll bite. How do I get my stacks to speak? How can I invoke MacinTalk from HyperTalk? Any hints would help. Thanks. Jim cordy@qucis.bitnet cordy%qucis.bitnet@cunyvm.cuny.edu utcsri!qucis!cordy
