Well, I can't say I'm surprised. When I cancelled my subscription after the December issue came out (the last TRS80 M3/4 issue), I let them know that 80 Micro leaving the M3/4 arena was like being informed of the death of an old friend. After all, I found out about some nice software packages which made the 3 and 4 nice to use. The hi-res business graph package is great. The ALE Assembly Language Editor is fantastic, and I use its editor for "real" text editing because of its power. I got my amber CRT from Langley-St. Claire, the best $100 I ever spent! The patches listed in 80 Micro from time to time actually made TRSDOS workable. Instead of typing 'dir :1 (inv, sys)' time after time to scan my unlisted diskettes, all I have to do is hit after sticking in the diskette to be scanned. Get rid of the periods on the command line, change the prompt to something a little less nauseating, fix up a few utilities, and you get a TRSDOS which is a bit more tolerable than a stock DOS diskette. All of the above I got from 80 Micro. I'm sure a lot of other people did, too. Now that support for the 3/4 is no more, either from 80 Micro *OR* Tandy, we orphans have to stick together. Hell, if you can't get support or information from a magazine, why continue to subscribe??? That's why I cancelled *my* subscription, along with a few thousand other readers.
