Message-ID: <251@t9103.UUCP> Date: 21 Apr 88 19:36:04 GMT Reply-To: transue@t9103.UUCP Distribution: na Organization: Home, Walnutport PA Lines: 27 Keywords: Pathalias, tempfiles, need help. I have recently been sent a copy of a Pathalias 8.1 (old) that someone modified to work with temporary files rather than RAM. It seems to compile and run under System V/AT 2.2L. The problem is that it is 8.1 and cannot handle the new 9.x feature of terminal hosts. ( I think that is the term I want ). i.e. (DIRECT), host2(POLLED). It sees the <> and gives a syntax error and completely ignores the entire line. Makes for useless paths files. Anyway, to get to the point, I am willing to mail this shar file to some people, in the hope that it can be modified for the newer pathalias. If anyone is interested, I will e-mail them the shar file, it is about 80k. Naturally, I would like the fix, if anyone comes up with one. ALSO: While someone might still be reading this :-) Does anyone have a working Rn on System V/AT 2.x, and would be willing to send patches or advice. I have Rn patchlevel 39, it compiles but then gives a SIGSEGV and restores the .newsrc file with consistent regularity. -- Brad Transue UUCP: {rutgers,ihnp4}!bpa!vu-vlsi!devon!t9103!transue or: transue@t9103.UUCP
