First, Thanks to all to sent solutions to the core-dump
problem with SCO XENIX & v/readnews.  I'll post the
(partial) answer since many have also asked basicly the same
question.

In the news source, the file, rfuncs.c has a function called
rightgroup().  In that function, change ng[BUFLEN] to read
ng[LBUFLEN].
