I have a new Vaxstation 2000, running Ultrix 2.2.  When I tried to build
the V11.2 distribution, the Xqdss server would not come up.  When I
examined the errlog, the following message appeared:
	sg_write_id: timeout trying to write to VIPER

A co-worker of mine successfully built an Xqdss server for his
Vaxstation II/GPX.  I discovered the NPLANESFILE and changed the value
therein from 8 to 4, but that didn't solve the problem.

So what is going on here?  The documents refer me to README files in
the ddx/dec directories, but I can't find any of those files.  I'm new
to Ultrix, and this is my first exposure to V11, so please bear with me
and excuse any obvious errors on my part; any help will be appreciated.
