That is: you can only use about half of the disk, because on updating the archive, the archiver copies the archive _onto the same disk_ while doing the update. OK, so this is a good security measure, but is there any way to persuade the archiver to do its back up onto another disk? Or is there a way to automate the archiving facility so that I can fill, or nearly fill a disk with one or more archives, that I have overlooked? This question really relates to using an archiver as a substitute for backup on a floppy system, to archive all those utilities down-loaded from bulletin boards, without using a one-for-one copy of all my utility diskettes.
