Funny thing about the file system is that it's already got directories (an idea they picked up from unix). The real problem seems to be the clustering used by MS-DOS which is very wasteful of disk space. Why not go to the root of the problem instead of the dumb layering scheme. After all, they think your a worthy employee (they hired you) and that reflects on their judgement.
