Message-ID: <3179@entire.UUCP> Date: 3 May 88 14:19:09 GMT Distribution: na Organization: Entire Inc, East Rochester, NY Lines: 22 Keywords: Inode list, Kernel cache, Looking for a semi-official patch :-) Sorry to be rehashing an old news thread, Entire came online shortly after the discussions on comp.bugs and news.software. (enough said :-) I have been fighting the inode problem in our news partition, since we started. At the moment I am able to keep it at bay by umount/mount-ing the partition once a day following the expire runs. I have seen bits and pieces of information about this problem surface on the net. What I am wondering is: Has anyone out there remember/still have the end result of the discussions about the bug. Was there ever a "patch" for the kernel files? Please e-mail me any information you can uncover, it is not necessary to rehash this problem on the net. Your help is appreciated. We are running ISC's System V.3 on a 80386 box. We have source for the kernel. Thank you. -- John A.
