Alright - so I blew it :-)  I finally managed to get through to
Telebit in Toronto to clarify things. It turns out that my
previous statements were wrong Wrong WRONG! [thanks, Steve]

Telebit Technologies Canada has extended the 2 for 1 offer. It will
run until June 30th. I have been assured it will *not* be extended
beyond that date.

TTC had planned to stop the promotion on March 31st, however a number
of people thought it unfair that US customers enjoy the discount
while the Canadians were being left in the cold (so to speak), and
phoned TTC to let them know this.

I must also retract my statements about TTC's "price gouging", etc.
After discussing the overhead involved (in time, FST, duty, etc)
it turns out that TTC is losing money on each of these sales.

If your (Canadian) Telebit salescritter says the offer is no longer
available, have them call Toronto and get their facts straight.
