If there is any kind soul out there that has KCL running on a Vax, I
would greatly appreciate hearing how you got it to work.  In
particular, I have the June 1987 distribution of KCL that I ftp'd from
utexas recently and would like to run it on a VS2000 under Ultrix 2.0.
I have this version of KCL running on a Sun 3/280 but could not get it
to run on our Vax 785 running 4.3 BSD either, so I suspect the problem
is in the Vax-specific code and not in Ultrix incompatibilities.  The
raw_kcl dies with a memory fault when it attempts to dump the
saved_kcl.  We do, however, have an older (May '86?) version of KCL
that does run on the 785.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Please send replies by email
