This may have appeared on the net about two weeks ago and therefore apologize
for a repeat. Unfortunately my news source crashed at the time I was posting
and therefore do not know if it ever made it. Also since I was off the net for
several days after, I do not know if there were any replies. Appreciate
everyones patients and understanding. Anyway----

Several questions concerning MINIX. Appreciate if A. Tanenbaum could answer
for the benefit of the newsgroup.:

1. From recent netnews it appears that Minix v. 1.2 is now being shipped by
   Prentice-Hall. 
   Does P-H provide an upgrade for owners of Minix v. 1.1 at a price less than
   $80 ?

2. What version of the Minix C Compiler is being provided with Minix V. 1.2 ?
   Is it also v. 1.2 ?

3. Have any provisions been made to distribute the binary (only) of the  Minix
   C compiler v. 1.2 at a price less than $100 ?

4. Has anyone figured out how to send e-mail to ast? I have tried  routing
   to mcvax and then to botter with no results. I see from my backbone map
   that links to mcvax are 'restricted', could that be the problem?

  Appreciate answers on the above. Thank You.
