Most people wouldn't want to wait 2-6 months for an image to be developed, and in 320x192 resolution.. :-) The PS interpreter I have for Sun 3/50s takes 5 minutes to display a decent sized graphics file.. :-( To print DVI files requires you have access to fonts. Fonts require megabytes and megabytes of disk storage. Plus lots and lots of numerical computations.
