What I would like to know and would appreciate any information on, is just how compatible this board really is and if anyone knows a source for it (and its price, of course). I know this information has been posted before but, unfortunately, I tended to ignore it since I would not have guessed I would need to get such a beast even a short time ago. All I will be running on it are "business" type programs as mentioned above, no games or such. Especially, do the two programs I mentioned above (WordPerfect and Lotus) run ok? Is anyone out there currently running these two programs off their 3b1? Another question is: Can I use the hard disk while running off the PC board? If so, do I have to format a segment for DOS files or are they "magically" converted to UNIX files? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. -- Doug East (415) 423-7875 UUCP: ..!{ames,dual,ihnp4,qantel}!lll-lcc!dre ..!pacbell!pbcast!fido!dre ARPA: dre@lll-lcc.llnl.gov
