Wilmington, MA Lines: 22 Beware of Activision's "Rampage"! It's apparently unstable in some way. I picked it up Tuesday night, took it home, and played with it for a while. I exited and restarted the program a few times, with no apparent ill effects. I played it enough to fill up one high-score listing. Then I exited the program, removed the disk from the drive, and powered down the machine. Last night (Wednesday), I wanted to play some more. So I booted DOS, put the disk in, and typed "rampage". And I got the message "Bad File Allocation Table." It kept on giving me this message, even when I rebooted the machine several times. Now I have to try to get a replacement. Does anybody know a phone number for Activision? Note: I was playing on an 8 MHz XT clone (100% compatible), and running the software directly from the 360k floppy that it came on. Good thing I wasn't playing from a hard disk, since it kills the FAT. Please send suggestions by E-mail. -- Pete Granger ...!{decvax,ulowell,ima,ism780c}!cg-atla!granger "Why do you always serve venison and fish on Valentine's day?" "Because I love you hart and sole."
