Texas CS Dept., Austin, Texas Lines: 20 Keywords: memory, hard drive Here are several questions for the net, any suggestions will be appreciated. 1. I am getting tired of the noise of my home-brewed 40MB hard drive. Since the noise is the combination of the drive, case, and fan, there is really little I can do except to move it far away from my desk. My question is can I use a regular 25pin cable as an extension cable from my Plus to the SCSI system cable? 2. What's the best way to take good care of a hard drive, leave it on all the time or switch it on/off whenever you want to? 3. What is the best way to expand the Mac Plus memory? I really hate to waste the 1M already on my Plus, but the current price of 1M SIMM is outrageous. Please reply to me by e-mail. Thanks in advance. ---------- Chin-Ming Kuo cmkuo@cs.utexas.edu ut-sally!cmkuo
