Despite all the puns can anyone tell me what a fatal exit code is, what causes them and how they can be prevented. Two specific incidents are: 1) I was trying to copy bitmap information between PC Paintbrush and Designer. Memory was quite low, 3 or 4k, I know copying was probably futile with so little free memory but none-the-less: fatal exit code. 2) During converts in Scan Gallery from Scan Gal's file, or tif I think it really is, to PC Paintbrush. It handles converts to Microsoft Paintbrush just fine but it exits on PC Paintbrush. In any event if anyone can shed any light on this fatal exit code creature, it would be much appreciated.
