Summary: What to study??


    I am currently a freshman in college. I hve been a follower of the U.S.
space effort ever since I was old enough to know what was going on. Ever
since then I have worked to become an astronaut.
    Before applying to college I weighed my options. I decided not to go the
military route because 1). Career changes are hard to make and 2). I don't
have the eyesight to be a commander or pilot. I decided to go to a regular
college and try to get into the space program from the civilian end. My question
is this: What major should I persue? What kind of things does NASA look for
in a Mission/Payload specialist...I've considered Geology and aeronautical
engineering..what else is there??..What kind of graduate work should I persue??
Any hint would be a lot of help...
