In the ATARI-ST-world there is a very nice tool, the so called DUMAS-uuencode/uudecode, which does -splitting long files into parts, -adding sequencing-information, namely include statements, into each part, -adding line-sequencing information to catch missing lines. The uudecode then appends the parts automatically, checks line sequence and prints appr. error messages. The whole thing is very easy to handle and should be available on the PC too. ( I use an ATARI as terminal, so I have binaries of it ) Somebody should find out the address of Mr. DUMAS in the atari-newsgroups, try to get the source of the package, bring it to the PC and post the program to all of us.
