Isn't this the cable that will break up into two sections near the English coast, and one section will go to southern England, while the other one will connect to the Northeastern French coast? I saw a display of this at the AT&T exhibit in New York City at the AT&T Building, and they seem to imply that they are mainly responsible for this. Maybe MCI is doing the Pacific Cable (too bad!...they'll screw it up fer sure ;-) ), but I think AT&T is a VERY substantial part of TAT-8.
