I installed ispell on our ISI running BSD 4.2 and emacs 18.48.2.

When I try an ispell-??????? command it says 
'starting new ispell process', then
Warning - ispell process died
Process ispell is not running

I believe we are running the newest ipell from prep-ai.mit.edu.
