NNTP is the Network News Transport Protocol, used to carry and read
news across an IP network.  It's described in RFC 977, available in
osu-cis!/u/public/rfc/rfc977.Z for your perusal.  You'll find the
current software in osu-cis!/u/public/nntp/nntp1.5.tar.Z if you'd like
a copy.
