Of course it is. On the other hand, the tone of these articles, and especially the subject line, implies that there is something (morally) *wrong* with this. There is not. IBM and Microsoft have every right to try to sell *their* product, at *their* prices. Unfortunately, it appears at the moment that they have the marketing clout to get away with it. This is partly because potential competitors in this area have made little or no effort to get into the market.
