This may be a silly block or record size, nonprinting characters, etc. Details were in a Software Dispatch a few months ago. The problem is in SMBSRVSHR.EXE, so the comparison of PRTSMB.EXE wouldn't show up fixes anyway. The S/D specifically mentions failures at the PC you mentioned....
