This is caused by an attempt to print an 'unsuitable' file. This may be a
silly block or record size, nonprinting characters, etc. Details were in
a Software Dispatch a few months ago. The problem is in SMBSRVSHR.EXE, so
the comparison of PRTSMB.EXE wouldn't show up fixes anyway. The S/D
specifically mentions failures at the PC you mentioned....

I ran into this with a PSM-modified symbiont, and spent some time thinking
it was a bug I had introduced....
