I personally have not tested this, since my >disks are not infected, at least VirusX says so :-) I didn't think so either, until after having installed VirusX in my startup I popped in my copy of GRIDIRON I had bought (already opened) at a "closing out" sale. Suddenly a requester popped up saying this disk was infected with the SCA virus! Getting rid of it was as simple as clicking on an option in the requester (and switching off the write-protect tab). Needless to say I crossed my fingers and hoped that GRIDIRON used a standard boot block. (It did). This sucker just sits in the background and checks any and all floppys inserted into either drive. It recognizes the SCA virus, the Byte Bandit and will also bring to your attention any disk with a non-standard boot block. If you click on its (small) window, you get a count of the number of disks checked and the number of viruses found (hopefully zero ;-). I highly recommend this virus checker, and commend Steve on his efforts. (Should I have commended and then recommended? Holy grammar, Batman!) -- D. Gordon Smith Cognos Incorporated S-mail: P.O.
