I haven't had a chance to try this because I am moving out of my
apartment (out of the state)...

Change the vector of the OpenWindow() routine to call your own routine.
Check the screen type to see if its workbench or not.  Put up a small
requester or something that asks the user where to put the window.
Then, change the fields accordingly in the NewWindow structure and then
call the real OpenWindow() routine.
